Our food reflects our passion. Events large and small display this through our preparation and attention to detail in every aspect. Food only makes part of an event, however, and Spice Catering’s commitment to excellence comes through in every facet of our business. You’ll find that devotion in event planning, design, custom table scapes, and our staff of chefs, bartenders, and servers. Born in Connecticut, owner Dan Biagioni along with his executive chef has a combined experience of 40 years in the catering, restaurant and food preparation industry. A graduate of Quinnipiac University, Dan has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and previously worked at Jordan Catering & Event Planning as Director of Sales.

Debbie joined the Spice Catering Group following her 20+ year career at IBM, where she excelled at planning and managing events. When the opportunity presented itself to choose a second career, she pursued her passion to become a full-time event professional. During her internship with us in 2021, Debbie took pride in delivering exceptional customer service and making every event memorable. She is elated to be a permanent member of the team providing sales, marketing, and event consulting services. In addition to focusing on premier wedding, social, and corporate off-premise events, she is managing Sage, our exclusive banquet hall.

Debbie earned an associate degree with honors in event planning from Edmonds College, as well as an associate degree in office administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sacred Heart University. Debbie is married with 2 children and cherishes spending quality time with family and friends, enjoying great food and drink!

Tim McNamara

Tim McNamara

Sales Manager

Tim has a passion for food, service and people and is no stranger to the hospitality industry and event planning. His father has spent nearly 40 years in the business! Growing up, Tim was always intrigued by how restaurants work, how food truly warms the soul, and the overall process of providing a great experience. After graduating with a business management degree, Tim moved to New York and quickly became a successful restaurant manager in an upscale eatery. He eventually returned to the CT shoreline and worked as a manager for a prominent restaurant and hospitality company. In 2013, he took what he’d learned in food and management and joined La Cuisine Catering based in Branford, CT as part of their sales and event planning team. In 2020, Tim joined Spice Catering Group as their Catering Executive and Event Planner where he continues his devotion serving a diverse group of clients to create memorable personalized events. Tim lives in Madison, CT with his wife and young son and daughter. He enjoys cooking, the great outdoors, snowboarding, the beach, sports, and most of all, spending time with his family.

Carisa Lockery Event and Marketing

For the last 8 years, Carisa Lockery has owned and operated CR Socials Event Planning, where she planned and executed many weddings and events. From day-of service to full event planning, Carisa has helped many clients and couples create the event or wedding of their dreams. She knows that the details are truly what personalizes any type of event, along with delicious food! Although Spice Catering Group has had a strong business relationship with Carisa for many years, we are happy to officially have her on our team as our Marketing & Event Manager!

Carisa has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Albertus Magnus College and a Master of Business Administration Degree. In addition, she holds an event planning certification from the QC Event School.

Carisa currently resides in Cheshire, CT with her husband and 2 young sons.

Tim Scott

Tim Scott

Executive Chef

Tim Scott started his career in cooking while in Boston before attending La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine in Paris for Culinary Arts. After school, he developed his career working in the kitchens of Scoozzi, Bruxelles, Max Amore, Wadsworth Atheneum, Pond House Café, Jordan Caterers and Geronimo as Executive Chef before taking the helm of Spice Catering Group. Tim’s civic involvements include Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation, American Liver Foundation’s Flavors of Connecticut, Shakespeare in the Park, and Board Member of the Connecticut Restaurant Association. Accolades include 3 time winner of CT Chilifest for Creative Chili, Best Table at Flavors of Connecticut and Best Food at Taste of the Nation.

Tim is married and has 6 wonderful children and resides in Prospect, CT.
